Last Night

It is our last night on the coast.  Our boxes are packed and we have arranged 3 guys to help us load the truck we rented tomorrow morning.  I am really really sad to leave this house.  I love it so much.  I am trying to stay positive though, trying to be thankful that  I was able to live here for 2 years.  Which is kind of weird because when I first wrote about moving up here, I mentioned that if it all falls through and we have to move back to the city in 2 years.  Kind of odd that I guessed the exact rate of failure of our little adventure.  It feels like we were hardly here at all but in reality, Sacha has lived here for 1/2 of his life.

We spoke with a real estate agent today and the market has gone down a bit since we bought, which we knew but not as much as I had thought.  So that is a bonus.  We have a couple minor repairs to do and then cleaning and yard work. I think we are going to list it for Feb 1st.   So if anyone is looking to buy a beautiful house on an amazing lot, email me.

Of course the move, which hasn’t even happened yet, has not gone glitch free.  We got a call this morning that the truck that we reserved was not available in Sechelt for tomorrow and we would have to pick it up at the next closest location – North Vancouver.  This is a huge hassle, it also means we need the truck for an extra day, had to take 6 hours our of our day today to go pick it up and it cost us $215 in ferry fares getting it up here.  I am not impressed.  We were totally ahead of schedule packing up but then pretty much lost most of today due to this stupid truck.

Our last night here, we had dinner at Molly’s Reach.  It was really cute because out the back, there was a dog waiting by the kitchen door.  He looked just like the Tramp from Lady and the Tramp.  I think he was one of the cooks’ dog.
