Daycare and Swim Lessons

Sacha had his first swimming lesson today.  It didn’t go great.  I thought it was going to go well, because we rushed from daycare and made it to the pool in time (the pool closest to us had run out of room for preschool classes).  He was excited to go, he was excited to get in the building and be with the other kids.  Then he saw the pool’s water spraying guns.  Tantrum ensued over not being able to use the water guns.  He refused to listen to his swimming teacher and refused to take part in the first 15 minutes of a 30 minute lesson.  Finally he got in the water and had fun with the three other boys (who had been listening obediently).  After the lesson, he didn’t want to leave, but we were told that we had to leave and he couldn’t even swim in the empty baby pool.

Even though that was a bit of a disaster, both kids were very good this evening once we got home.  Sacha didn’t eat much for dinner, but he was calm and not bouncy and was nice to his sister.

Alice had a good first day at daycare too.  I need to pack more food for her, because even though I packed more food for her than I do for Sacha, she gobbled every bit of it up.  I have never had to quantify how much she eats in 8 hours before and measure it out.  I have  now bought a package of baby cereal now that I will leave there and they can make up as much as they need at any given time.

I had an assignment due by 8:55pm tonight for one of my classes.  My new years resolution was to get an A in my class, it has been down graded to hope i pass this class.  It is a lot harder than I thought it would be and my life is more of a roller coster than I was expecting as well.  I got 2 parts of a 3 part assignment submitted on time, and the final part (the hardest part, I think) will have to wait until after work tomorrow when I can see straight again. I  am so tired.
