I took the Prius in to get the deer dent fixed today. They gave me a loaner car which I am really greatful for but I would not be buying one of these cars. It took me the whole drive home, plus 15 minutes of fiddling when i was parked to find the dashboard clock. Plus I can just feel the gas guzzling compared to the Prius, which sucks with my long commute.
But on Friday after work, we went and checked out a house in North Delta. It is a Rancher in a nice family neighbourhood, about 15-20 minutes away from work. It wasn’t amazing, being a dedicated rental for at least 3 years but it was nice. It was however at the top of our price range for rent. We had talked it over because there was another one we were considering which was a bit cheaper, a bit closer to work but on a busy-ish street and didn’t have a dishwasher. On Sunday morning we called the landlord in north delta to say we would take it and about 2 hours later we got a call from a co-op that we had signed up for to say that they might have a 3 bedroom place available for January 1st. So at 8pm, I was meeting with the membership committee and getting a tour of the town house. I don’t want to be a jerk to the first guy, so now I want to find out as soon as possible if we can get this town house, because i don’t want to lose it either. The townhouse is little but it is nice and it is cheap and in an amazing neighbourhood.
