Dress Up

I feel bad about not updating often anymore.  I started this blog when I had been working at my old job for 3 years already so I really knew what was accepted in the down time periods.  I updated during work all the time.  Now I am not as certain, and this last week was crazy busy.  Report card deadlines, a building evacuation, arranging TOC coverage for teachers at the last minute and more.  By the time I got home in the evenings it was hard to stay up past 8:30pm.  On Wednesday, I did a bit of shopping for Alice’s birthday and met up with Caroline and Ruth to see The Big Year .  I really enjoyed it and I think Caroline and Ruth did too, so you don’t just have to be a fan of bird watching to enjoy it.

Thursday was a big day for the kids.  Sacha’s preschool had a pumpkin party at his teacher’s house, which is on a farm with chickens and bunnies and a duck pond. I sadly did not get to go, but Andrew took some very cute pics.  Sacha and Alice were both dressed up in costume.  Right after the party, they all came back into Vancouver and we attempted to go to the ghost train again.  We were successful this time, I guess that’s the difference between going on a Thursday and trying to go on a Sunday, because even though Andrew stopped and bought tickets hours ahead of time, it wasn’t sold out at all.  It was busy but there were still tickets left.

One cool thing about Sacha is that you can tell he is scared on the Ghost Train, this one had creepy clowns jump up at that train, but it doesn’t seem to stay with him.  He doesn’t seem to have bad dreams often.  And when he has, it has not been as a result of something like a scary show.  The one time that he did come into our room in the middle of the night telling us he had a bad dream, he had dreamt that he was alone and we had gone.  I can’t remember what was happening at the time to prompt it either, it had seemed a little out of the blue.
